| UPDATE!!!
Okay...so...I'm updating. These are VERY rare...but I wanted to go into what's been going on in my life recently. I have some pretty big changes coming up and I'm anxious/excited. Also, I wanted to post a few new photos, cuz I'm a chick and we do things like that...
So...I'm in the process of moving out. Finally. We're serious about this...sometime towards the end of spring. Finding a 3-bedroom apartment/townhouse is REALLY draining and not an easy task. Also, considering none of us can really afford more than 300 a month--including utilities. Oh, right...there's 4 of us moving in together. Me, Curt, and MandaBen. We've been talking about it for years and it's finally going to happen! Amanda even bought furniture last week. Unfortunately her mom keeps telling her that she's not mature enough to move out. Riiiiight. She's the only one who has an actual career...
And in that respect, I'm currently looking for a new job. All I want is craptacular clerical work. Something where I'll have benefits and steady hours and better pay than what I make at Giant. (But aren't I going to go back to college? One day...I hope. But I'm finding that I lack patience for school. I have a degree...I'm just sick of it. Maybe school isn't for me??? I dunno...) I'm a good typer, fairly organized, a fast learner and I'm intelligent...so, I don't think it'll be hard for me to get into this line of work. I'm working through a temp agency right now and I have an interview after work tomorrow. It'll be wonderful to have a job where my hours don't fluxuate...I'm sick of working 5-1:30 one day and 12:30-9 the next. Though...I did just get a raise.
Yep, my store manager called me into his office the other day...told me that every once in awhile he likes to recognize an employee for their hard work - going "above and beyond" what is required. He's noticed that I do a really good job...so, I got a raise. Sure...it's not a super-good raise...but for my type of job, it's a really decent one. I'm just happy that all the shit I do around there finally got recognized, cuz seriously...I do more than pretty much anyone else back there. I REALLY wanted to rub it in my one coworkers face. I'm not a bitch...far from it. But all she does is complain and tattle on everyone who works there...and she insists that she works her ass off, but half the time she's either stuffing her face with food (sure, I eat too, but not like her) or she's gabbing...LOUDLY. And the complaining...I mean, everyone complains, but holy shit. She never shuts up. And she nitpicks at me all the fucking time. And here I got a raise for being a hard worker...and I even come in 5-10 minutes late nearly EVERY day. That's what amuses me so much...and the manager even mentioned that. Heheh.
